Hi, my name is Francisco, do you want to know more about me?
If I had to define myself I would say that I am passionate about technology, I always liked to design and build things. When I was a kid I used to open toys to see what was inside and see how they worked.
My background is Technical Telecommunications Engineer, and currently I am dedicated to software development using Python, Django, HTML, CSS and Javascript.
I like challenges and I am not afraid to face unknown things, I adapt myself to changes.
I believe that the most expensive parts of a project are always lack of information, doubts and improvisation.
My way of thinking:
"Bad work will be done twice. It is cheaper to get things right from the beginning".
"People who wants, do more than people who can". I value attitude much more than aptitude.
"Problem solving is the best way to learn".
"The simplest solution is often the best".
"A goal without a plan is just a wish" (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry).
"AGILE and SCRUM does not mean to stop planning, it means planning in very short timeframes".
"The SOLID and CLEAN-CODE principles are only recommendations. They must be adapted to each context and applied with common sense".
Writing code is like writing a story. It should be easy for other people to understand.
I have been developing software professionally since 1985.
During this time I have created many types of software:
My professional experience is divided into three main stages:
For 17 years I have worked in financial card factories for Visa, MasterCard and American Express, in high security and high productivity environments.
In 2015 the factory where I worked was closed, and I decided to finish my management stage in order to focus 100% on what I am most passionate about, software development, applying the knowledge about security and production that I have acquired over the years.
Since then I work as a senior developer for software companies, as a freelance, or through project-based work contracts.
